Are you vitamin deficient?

45% of the U.S. population had inadequate vitamin A, 46% has inadequate vitamin C, 95% had inadequate vitamin D, 84% has inadequate vitamin E, and 15% has inadequate zinc.  And this is in a rich industrialized country!

Fighting off gum disease requires a well functioning immune system, and this requires vitamins.

Vitamins are …food parts and food parts are …vitamins! So most Americans are getting bad quality food in terms of vitamin content. In the USA, many people are vitamin deficient.

From 2005 to 2016, the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES) looked at data from 26,282 adults over the age of 19.

They found a high percentage of Americans had inadequate intake in four out of five key immune nutrients.

Dietary supplements (vitamins) can help correct vitamin deficiency in the population and improve immune function and reduce your risk of progressive gum disease.

Vitamins A, C, D, E, and zinc, iron, and selenium are all involved in your body’s immune response against the pathogens that can cause gum disease.

And it’s worse if you don’t get proper sleep, since low vitamin levels are significantly associated with inadequate sleep.
